A great venue, and one that deserves support. It seats (actual seats, not metal chairs) around 336, it's clean, and has a mission to bring the best "alternative" comedians to the area. No one was doing this before. Take advantage of the opportunity.

Obviously Ravin has no idea what is going on at the Lakeshore. They have the best comedians in the world coming and if you look on their website you will see that nothing is priced above $25. Not only that the music there over the last year has been awesome.

The Lakeshore Theatre is a dump. I live right above it and the only show it has pumped out with good results was "The Puppetry of the Penis"! Even that was sick. Their productions now are just one nighters or two, but garbage for the 40 or 50 bucks you have to spend on them. For that money, treat yourself to Downtown to something worthwhile. Lakeshore gets a negative 0 from me.
NOTICE: This is NOT the OFFICIAL Lakeshore Theater website. These reviews are a forum for opinions about the venue that other Centerstage Chicago users may want to know, not to order merchandise, apply for a job, etc.
