OK, I really hate these things cause all you get are the extremes. Either, I love this place, or I hate this place. I'm from the "I love this place" side of the tracks. I'm not Mr. drink special or anything. Anyone who knows me knows I like a good beer or a Jack & Coke. So I have no idea if there specials are any good. The food is good. Not the best, but really solid. My girlfriend and my sister both live within 5 blocks of this place and I try to entice them to come here often. It's a great place to hang for sure. The whole Southport corridor is full of good stuff... but you don't have to come because I said so, I'll be happy to keep it for myself... lol.

I had the most disgusting imitation of jumbalaya and gumbo I ever had in my life. I never thought it was possible to %#*@-up jambalaya until I tried Blue bayoo's. The rice was cold, the crayfish tasted stale and the service was horrendous. I say avoid it like the plague!

All right, this was my first time here and I have to say this is going to be my new hangout! According to Bill the bartender, daily drink and food specials are brand new. Now this is really inexpensive for the neighborhood! The Cajun theme is fun without being campy. Service was impeccable and the place was spotless. Sit back, watch the Cubs after work, and enjoy a beer or three with some upscale pub grub. Nice job everyone!

Both the food and service here are beyond bad. Living in the neighborhood, we have given this restaurant 3 separate chances and the service and food got progressively worse. We finally had to walk out the last time. It shocks me becasue the Cullen's people (across the street) own this place. Cullen's is a shining star compared to here..

Don't expect many menu choices, there are only five dinner options. The etouffee is terrible, resembling the swamp from which the crawfish were plucked. Don't expect your server to win the next Ms. Personality contest. On a good note, the bar has a great, atmosphere. A great place to kick back with a few hurricanes and enjoy the music. The peel-n-eat shrimp appetizer and pecan-encrusted catfish are awesome!
