I love Ed Devebics! Although the service is a little slow , it's really good for the kids because when their food is taking a long time , the waiters and the entertainment keeps them occupied. LONG LIVE ED!

HILARIOUS!!! some guys were screwing around and throwing french fries at the waitress- so the waitress dragged him outside the room while he was still on his chair!!!another guy chugged pepsi and ketchup together- and when his waiter came back he started shouting with everyone else- "CHUG CHUG CHUG CHUG" i would luvvvv to go there again!! doesnt matter why you r there or who u r with- as long as u hav a sense of humor it will be a BLAST

I took 8yr old DD to Ed's. I came here years ago (maybe 20?) and it didn't seem to change.

Had the kitchen Sink Nachos and Chicken Strip Basket. Both were on par with what they were. We were starving and it tasted good. Had to wait a while for drinks, most likely to DD ordering the double chocolate milk shake. The drinks came after our nachos were out.

We would come back again. It isn't gourmet but its fun. Our server was great and DD was ecstatic over her balloon hat that was made for her!

Our bill was $29 for the nachos, chicken strips, shake and a coke. I was alright with the amount based on it being a tourist place to check out.

this was brutal. I was here for a band trip and when we got there they gave us 1 minute to order and thats it. The service was terrible and the food was disgusting. I would never go back there in my life and i don't recommend it too anyone who wants something more than dog food.

Good experience, hefty price and sub-par food. I've been to Ed's a number of times over the past 15 years or so. This last was the most disappointing for me. Perhaps I was not in the right mood... However, the service was really poor. Granted, it is part of their schtich, but really that doesn't mean you can bring out beverages in a timely manner. My daughter waited about 15 minutes for her ranch sauce so she could eat her chicken nuggets. this was after already waiting about 40 minutes for our food. The waiter was really a bit stale, not really engaging us on a personal level. He seemed a bit tired of the whole thing himself.

The waiter also badgered us because my 9 year old was ordering off the "kids" menu, which is only good to age 8. How lame is that? I know, I know he was only doing his job, it was just a bit over the top as he grilled my son for his age.

Then the food. My 9 year old would not eat the hamburger, saying it was inedible. My daughter said her $7.25 grilled cheese was cold and not too impressive. My other daughter enjoyed her chicken strips, and my Patty melt was on par with any other restaraunt.

Then the bill. Wow. You really pay for the experience. Unfortunately, if the experience is sub-par it leaves you feeling like you got fleeced. As I said I've been to Ed's many times over the years, and this was the first time I was truly disappointed. My 9 year old seemed to enjoy it though, so I guess it was worth it.

Everyone seems to be right about the comedy of the staff. It is funny, however what isn't funny is the food. For less than average "bar food", actually i've had better bar food. I had cheeseburger, my girlfriend had hotdog and coke, i had water. Bill with tip was $30. Not so funny now huh?

I get a kick out of watchings people get bent out of shape at first, who haven't heard about the Ed's experience!

    It's hilarious!

Food is three stars. Not stellar, bit doesn't suck either! The experience is a must when visiting the Windy City!

When the waitress put on some extremely red lipstick and kissed my grandson's cheek, his brother dove under the table! We laughed for weeks about that.

    Such great fun.
