I was a regular customer at fontanos and the customer service was great until one day I saw this older lady look like shes in her late fifties talking to her employees very poorly I over looked it? then today I called my orders in and upon approaching the deli counter the person at the counter couldnt find my order so I saw what I thought was my order although she never prepared my order it was wrapped and the priced written on it she picked it up and crossed off my price of the order foot long sub and added 2 dollars to the price when I kindly asked her why she attempted to convince the owner to charge me more so I asked the owner to please open up the order to see exactly what am paying extra for? thats when she cursed me and stated that she dont give a Damn its only 2 dollars my response was I am a paying regular customer her response was shes the owner its her restaurant she can say what ever she wants ! yes I paid the additional price because a friend had followed me all the way here to get the order . . but trust me never again will I recommend this establishment to anyone I know ... the customer service and the way she treats not only me but talks down to the employees and customers that dont speak fluent english id not deserving of our business . . this is a true event . .

Elmhurst is BACK! New owner making the subs the way they used to be made. Vickie and Co. servers them up. Just Awsome...

I'm a student at UIC, and I have to say, I go to Fontano's so much, Mary Fontano knows me by name! I love this place, especially the meat. I usually go for something cheap like the Salami and Provolone, but when I want to pig out, or if I'm gonna get one free, I make it a Blockbuster or the Pepperoni. The Giardinera is great, the hotter the better!! Good service, good eats, nothing fancy and all tasty. If you want to get a taste of a real Italian-American sub, this is the place, hands down!!!

I have been a fan of Fontano"s for the last decade. I had the opportunity to visit their Orland Park franchise on 159th street in the southwest suburbs. The offer the freshest products with excellent service. The price is more than reasonable. My favorite sandwich is the "Wiseguy". Great sandwich's at very reasonable prices.
