Best Sunday Brunch! We highly recommend the Shaw’s Sunday Brunch, a hotel-style colossal buffet spread that is totally over the top, and affordable (much cheaper than the fine hotels) at $40 for each adult and $20 for kids (took my 11 and 8 year old kids recently and they loved it). I had a great make-your-own Bloody Mary for $5 more, which included good vodka and all the possible garnishes, including a plump jumbo shrimp and bluecheese stuffed olive. Life is good.

Very dissappointing. Went for my birthday with my family. Shrimp dried out, crabcake blah...scallops fine, portions small. service was mediocre considering it was a slow night. My 1st time there.will not go back. Ruined my birthday night because I thought it was going to be a "nice" dinner out with my family. Should have gone to Wildfire

Shaw's is my "Secret Place" for dinner-always fresh and fantastic-whether it's popping super fresh oysters at the bar or doing it formal with lobster, the best cheesy potatoes ever, and desserts!Wine choices are usually well-suited!I have to take food home-I never leaveanyway but perfectly satified.

Went here on a Thursday night and it was pretty crowded and had a long wait. Now I understand why!! We ended up sitting at a table by the bar so we didn't have to wait over an hour and just shared a few things. May I just say that the sushi was sooooooooo good. I didn't expect such good sushi from an establishment that doesn't market itself as a Japanese sushi restaurant. My absolute favorite was the lobster, avocado, and cucumber maki rolls. This is defitnitely something I would always order when I eat here. Now that I know how good it is, how could I pass it up??!! The only thing I thought could use a little work was the lobster bisque. Very few and very little pieces of lobster. Everything else was great! I know they are known for crab, but the only crab we tried was in a sushi platter, but I could tell that it was very fresh and therefore very delicious. I can't wait to go back!! There are many menu items that I want to try, I just need to go back with a bigger appetite. Great restaurant for the seafood lover...

For those of u interested, Shaws is amazing. They just changed up their sushi menu. Try the acapulco roll or the new summer roll to start. Then go for a nice piece of lemon butter Halibut or Swordfish steak. Crab still takes center stage here. Soft shell is in season and the Alaskan King is nothing short of perfection. Looking for something different? Try the Lobster Mac and Cheese. And don't forget to end with dessert. Pastrie Chef Marjorie Hyland is always creating scrumptious new desserts and now that summer is here, expect lots of fresh fruit desserts (like the raspberry pie on the menu now). Happy Dining :)

Cindy - You are CRAZY. The portions are PERFECT. Maybe she didn't realize that kings and queens eat appetizers and dessert. I always eat like a king there. The crab and lobster portions are PERFECT - not huge, of course. Why would you want to leave a restaurant feeling like you want to pass out. You want to go out and exclaim how great and fun dinner was. Wine selections - PERFECT. Sushi - FRESH. Dessert - Great pastry chef changes it up. RECOMMENDED in Chicago or Schaumburg.

Recommended for good seafood and special desserts. We have dined there 6 times and enjoyed the food every time. Service can be a bit rough during busy times. Food has always been excellent.

6 of us went after Christmas. Very busy place...2 of us had lobster...cant remembr what the others ordered...but I do know we spent a bundle and every one of us left feeling like we had not eaten. Portions ar very small for th price...you can get much more substantial meal for the money just about anywhere.

    Take a pass.
