Jason, our server, knew the food and wine inside out, very helpful. The gnocci was the best I've ever had, obviously made fresh on the premises shortly before we arrived.

Ate here Friday evening for a small family get-together. The place was really jumping and so loud we could barely converse. We were seated immediately and treated like we owned the place. Spectacular food including melt-in-your-mouth raw octopus and homemade 1/4" thick spaghetti. Service was enthusiastic and knowledgeable (thank you Jason). All in all an exciting perfect evening; we will return often.

Sirs,
My wife & I recently ate dinner at Gioco's and I have to say that the food was superb. (Carpaccio/Meatballs/Sea Bass/Wild Boar Pasta etc) However, several things let the place down. I think it is trying to be upmarket, but convivial - casual at the same time. This does not work and renders the restaurant 'lifeless'. Secondly, the barman appeared to have a problem with the fact that we were smoking at the bar. (the smoking area)The attitude verged on rude. Finally, the coffee and cappuchino were appalling. Flavorless and limp. You'd think they would get this right!! So, in summary. If you're into food and don't mind the quirkiness, fine. Personally speaking, we will not be returning.
