I would disagree that the food is not the highlight. I've been going to Thai Binh for probably 15 years, first as Chicagoan and now as a fan visiting friends from my current home in L.A. I think the food is fabulous -- the best on Argyle Street, which is why I've always been perplexed that the place is not more crowded. That said, the sweet girl who serves the food and delivers the check is a definite plus.

This is the only pho restaurant in Viet-town that makes me vegetarian pho (vegetable broth, no fish sauce, no oyster sauce) and makes it so good, I wish I lived closer so I could get my pho fix every single day! The kids who help out are the sweetest. They know me by face and know exactly my order, even though I don't normally get out there more than a few times a year. Nevertheless, skip all the other pho restaurants in the area, this one is by far the best!

this is the best pho i've had since i moved here from the west coast, where vietnamese restaraunts are as common as hot dog stands are in chicago.
