I wanted to get a nice breakfast with my friends so we went to Blackie's on a Sunday morning. The menu is your standard bar food, so we ordered some scrambled eggs and pancakes. Big mistake. I don't know how it's possible to make scrambled eggs taste stale, but that's what we got. They were very busy, so maybe they make a large amount of scrambled eggs every morning and just microwave it before serving up. On the positive, the toast was great but I did not use any butter, just to be safe. If you like stale eggs with bad coffee and rude service, this is the right neighborhood place.
As for me, I'm never going back. I'm just happy that I didn't get sick from eating at Blackie's. But I'm not trying my luck twice.
