Visiting from Sausalito CA I felt completely at home with bar staff and patrons all. New favorite spot and I can't wait to get back! Sending folks from the West Coast your direction this weekend!

The Bird's Nest is a small but cozy bar to watch watch a band, watch sports or play some darts. Friday and Saturday nights are the best, when the bands are playing. You get a nice range of original acts and some cover bands. They also have a good menu for snack food like wings or burgers. Nice friendly service too.

7-15-06 Joe Taylor's performance at The Bird's Nest: "Refreshing, Entertaining, Timeless!" Joe's ingenious song writing ability assures us that his climb towards stardom will not be briefly endured. The fire in his belly and passion for music, generates a stamina and sustainability to produce wonderfully written songs with profound lyrics and dynamic melodies. Joe's raspy vocals and high energy performance infiltrates even the most crowded of rooms and amazingly captures the attention of every music goer of every age. The Bird's Nest was rockin' in full-force as Joe Taylor entertained backroom party guests during their special event. Joe Taylor songs are sure to become 'timeless classics' in the years to come! I will have to agree with the 2 most recent reviews, the Bird's Nest is my favorite! I would have to say that it is the one place that I can completely and repeatedly embarass myself and still go back any day of the week(including Sunday FUNday). I will have to keep my eyes peeled for the neighborhood drunk, I've only seen him once...I don't think he is living up to his name!

I agree!!! This bar has the best service- Love the owner!! Great music, food and of course drinks! It is kind of like our Cheers of Chicago- where everyone knows your name!! The neighborhood drunk Matt always makes an appearance!!! So be on the look out next time you stop in!

Quite frankly the best local bar ever. The food is great. Try the wings and the loons strooms, you won't be disappointed. A great place to be on a weekend or even a Sunday when the true drinkers come out. The people are great too, from Hollister to the local girls from across the street...just a great time all around

For an AWSOME friday night, check out the acts @ The Birds Nest!! This week there featuring Adam Fallon, Donnie Chestnutt and Terrence H. LoveBush from "Off The Wagon". The other performers are killer as well!! Check 'em out, it's a GREAT night!!!!!

The wings are the best and the staff there is awesome. I had a chance to meet the Chef, Jeremy and he was a blast. I will definitely be back. You can’t find a better place in Chicago with quality food and the Atmosphere like the Nest.

Just had their wings for first time last week.....KILLER! I had been to bird's nest on many occasions for cocktails but a friend of ours kept raving about the wings and rightfully so. Perfectly crisp and extremely meaty with a great sauce with enough bite to cover the heat quotient. We mowed thru 20 buffalo and 10 teriyaki just to mix it up. I think their acclaim is well deserved and they were voted the best in the city by a panel which included Phil Vettel last year. Heading back this week......
