My boyfriend and I have been eating at Star of Siam for about 2 years now, almost on a weekly basis. The owner knew us and would say hello when he saw us. It was our favorite place for thai. Until yesterday. We were there for almost an hour, finishing the carafe of wine we bought, getting ready to go (my boyfriend was in the bathroom) and a staff member came to me and asked us to leave because we were taking too long and they were busy. Are you serious?!! Ask a customer to leave? Especially two loyal customers who regularly stop by and tip extremely well??!! I don't think we will ever go back. Too bad.

This place has good Thai food for a very reasonable price. I have had the pad thai numerous times (one of my favorites) and usually start with the crab rangoon. One of the things I like best about this place is the homemade sauces, they taste so good! From the dipping sauces to the various sauces on the noodle dishes - I have never gone wrong. Good place to go with a crowd. Service is just okay, but for the price of the food, this place is well worth the visit - or carry-out!

Took a friend for a late dinner on our second date. My third time eating Thai. The prices were fair (almost embarrassingly cheap for a date) and the presentation reflected the cost. It was hard to find any street parking due to location and time. The place was pretty small and some of the tables where almost stacked on top of one another. Good if you want to eavesdrop on the couple sitting next to you. Neither I nor my date enjoyed our mixed drinks. The place might be good for a casual lunch, but not for an impressive date.

Yummy! We have not had a dish yet that we did not like. We stumbled upon this place by accident looking for lunch one Saturday, and now it is one of our favorite places to eat, and it is highly affordable. Great service and friendly, accommodating staff.

The menu was limited for a Thai Restaurant. The food was ordinary. The service was mediocre.

We drive from Racine, WI, into the city just to eat at Star of Siam -- the food, service, and value are all excellent!

Excellent Food. The best Thai restaurant in Chicago for Sure!!! Very low prices and great service. I highly recommend it to all of you. You will not regret it.
