I was walkign down Wabash and noticed the deli. I have walked by it numerous times and I have never noticed it was there. I had a take-out turkey on rye and it was good quality. I am so excited! I will try the matzoh ball soup next time. This find is just in time for my Passover work week soon!!! Good stuff...try it.

We were just there today on 3/17/09 and walked out, the service was so pathetic. Endless waiting at the hostess stand with no hostess, nobody acknowledging us, then finally a COOK comes out and seats two people, but not us, then disappears. A man who appeared to be a manager hung out by the front bar. Finally the cook says he'll be back, goes up front, then walks past us into the kitchen. And the place was about 1/5 full! It was empty! Forget it; never going back. Not with this management.

Ada's is as great as ever. The lunch service is quick and the food is filling and great. This is one of the few places in Chicago that still really cares about the customers!

New onwers and they aren't doing the place justice. Makes it difficult to order a sandwich to go, they can't even work the new compuers there. This once great deli is on the demise. No chalkboard anyore either or carryout menu anywhere to order.

The crab salad and pastrami on latkes were great. Good atmosphere and good food.

By Skokie (much less NYC) standards, this is a very mediocre deli. The cabbage soup is good, and the meats are good too. The matzoh ball is excellent. But doesn't anyone notice how salty the soup is? The knishes are peculiar, the filling dry. A decent sandwich place in a great location; but don't expect great Jewish deli.

thanks for leaving me unattended and then trying to blame the owner.

try taking responsibility for your own actions

We Christmas shop every year in Chicago. For most the highlight would be the shopping. For us it is afterwards when we stop to Ada's for out annual bowl of Sweet/Sour Cabbage Soup. It is the best. Beats Shopping!!! Try it!

If only the original owners Marv & Joel Still owned the deli's... Then Chicago would have a great deli. After Marv and Joel sold the deli the whole menu and flavor went to hell!!! Stay away!!!! Where is Marv & Joel?

i am so dissapointed by this deli. My purse was stolen while dining at this restaurant. The manager, rather than offer assistance, just declared "oh it is probably long gone by now" and just stood at the door without even trying to help me at all. Why kind of negligence is this? This has been one of my worst experiences at a restaurant in chicago.... dont go there at all....
