Great Place for a Celebration! This was the first time my husband and I ate at the Signature Room at the 95th. Wanted to for years and finally decided to splurge. Entering the restaurant takes you back to a fifties feeling but we liked it and felt it works. The views are amazing as you walk out of the elevator. Staff were very pleasant and attentive. We left feeling that the food, service and view were worth the pricey bill. Drinks are priced from $8 beers to $13 for a glass of wine. We had a very good cheese plate appetiser that could have been improved by providing an assortment of crackers. I wanted to try their lobster bisque but just could not talk myself into spending the excessive $10 for a small bowl of soup. Our entrees of pork tenderloin($30) and filet of steak($40) were excellent. They were both cooked perfectly and accompanied with outstanding sauces. Side dish choices were alacarte and enough for two to share. Yes, we left with a pricey bill of $120. We never spend this much while eating out. However, this was a special two hour celebration seated by the window overlooking our beautiful City of Chicago.

The view was fabulous and support staff very friendly and helpful. When my burger was delivered to my table there was a glob of raw hamburger meat sitting along with my fries and my burger. My mind is immediately racing, ecoli, what has this touched?? Server brought me a new plate, not new food, did not seem to care. Did not want to eat my food. Paying for the view, not service or quality.

    Terrible Service. Sorely disappointed.

I am from LA and made a reservation for my birthday. I changed my dinner reservation to drinks which I told the person over the phone. When I got there at 10:30 PM, even though they had seats, they wanted to kick us out since we were only ordering desserts. I told them that I would order many desserts to make it up. No cigar. Asked them to make an exception for my birthday which was that night. No.. Just terrible how people can treat others. Literally left that moment. Felt completely horrible and just left a bad taste in my mouth since there were no other patrons waiting for dinner and they just wanted to kick us out on a technicality of not ordering dinner.

My girlfriend and I went to Chicago for the Taste. I could tell she wanted to go here even though she insisted anywhere would be a nice place to visit for her birthday. She knows I am deathly afraid of heights, but didn't want to pressure me....sweet girl. Anyways, I requested a table at the center of the restaurant and the experience was awesome. The strip steak melted in my mouth and even my woman's chicken was tasty. I tipped according to the great service(I got the impression other diners sucked at tipping decent by the way) and was rewarded with a table by the window to finish our bottle of fine wine. Screw heights, that view was amazing. My girlfriend hasn't stopped talking about it yet.

I took my old lady here for valentines day. The food was not very good. Just so/so. However the view is second to none, and the atmosphere is beautiful. I would go back only for the surroundings, but it was worth the trip. I highly suggest it.

I took my wife for our first anniversary. We went early enough to enjoy the sunset. The view and the whole experience was worth the trip. We found parking on the street and took a romantic stroll instead of the high priced parking fees.

Took my mom and cousin for lunch they enjoyed the view, thought it was just splendid. They even took pictures. Food was okay, nothing out of this world they agreed, considering the price, and parking was 18.00 for two hours next door. Overall good expereience.

If you're a tourist going for the view, then go. However, if you are considering going for the food... don't go. The food is mediocre at best, and in no way worth the prices. I am someone who really enjoys having a good four* meal every now and then, and going to this restaurant for my birthday turned out to be a major disappointment.

Why bother with the Sears Tower, the view from The Signature Room is fantastic and you can enjoy a great lunch buffet along with the view. Go with friends and after lunch, enjoy the dessert platter where you can each pick a dessert and then you can sample each of them. It's to die for!!! I try to stop every time I'm in Chicago, and I always advise anyone that asks for directions to the Sears Tower to save their money and get a view with a meal at the Signature Room. I can't wait to take my next trip to Chicago just to go again.
