'Between Barack' Second City show. This was not funny at all. I expected intellectual witty original comedy instead it was full of predictable plots stereotypes and clichés, very unoriginal! The "N" word was used in one of the skits, it was offensive and ignorant.

Wow. These reviews are ancient, despite a good google rank. I like the lady asking for an audition. Classic.

i saw godshow at second city last sunday. this show is tragic comedy at it's best. i read a review of it in advance so i knew kinda what to expect...but the actual performance is both moving and hilarious at times. the actor who can tell this type of story; one of darkness and pain that's not maudlin is rare. i am bringing five friends to see godshow again in january....i am so glad second city extended tim's sad and happy story once again. alcohol and drug addiction stories are all over tv, but stories of God are not...this is a wonderful story of the unseen beauty in life...but the nessecity of pain to find it. bravo godshow!

I saw the show about five years ago and thought it was amazing. It was funny and the improv just knocked me out. I am going to Chicago next week and plan to get tickets.

I went to the August 22nd show and was blown away by how funny, and well produced the show was. I had heard Second City compared to SNL but there is no comparison. The Second City is superior. The 8/22 show was my first and hopefully many more in the future!!

I loved Godshow. Tim O'Malley has gigantic balls to go out on stage to proclaim his recovery from the bitter life. The supporting cast was excellent, especially the woman who played his mother. I cried so hard, and laughed with O'Malley's jubilation. Such a good story for these times. I am anxious to see it again...I saw it twice at Second City. Go see Godshow, before it becomes a movie!

When I saw Godshow at the Second City Etc. in June there was a line of people trying to get tickets that ran down the stairs! I fortunately had 2, and I know now why those people wanted to see this show...it was amazing! The honesty the main guy had, the guts to bare himself...the funny of it all! I cried too. It is about this guys alcohol, and drug problem...but really it's about life, and the screwed up perspective we all can have at times...it had a great cast of supporting players, the guy who played God was hysterical and he got applause every time he came in to do another character. All in all this was the best show I have ever seen...ever, on tv or in the theater or in a movie ...ever. Go see Godshow, it's amazing!!!
