Best Shushi in Chicago by far! Fresh fish is flown in every day and you can tell by the great taste! Atmosphere is perfect (usually busy), and Jimmy is the best Chef in Chicago. Definitely go!

Sai cafe is the best sushi I've had in the country, from San Francisco to NYC. Jimmy knows what he's doing, that's for sure. I've never ordered anything, just asked them to work their magic.

We have been dining at Sai Cafe for over 10 years. The fish continues to be outstanding, some of the best in the city. The Sushi chefs will often make you something new and interesting to taste. Jim and Mae are wonderful hosts! As for Sushi Wabi, save your money.

The service at Sai Cafe is by far the worst in the city....however, the dynamite roll is amazing with the perfect amount of spice. The seaweed salad is hit or miss and the maki rolls are not as good as Sushi Wabi but for Nigei, the sushi is good.

My wife and I have been eating at Sai Cafe for a decade and a half. This local Lincoln Park Japanese restaurants has established itself as one of Chicago's best. Portions are large, the food is great. Try some of "Jimmy's" rolls- you won't be disappointed! Do you have children? Sai is very kid/family friendly early in the evening. Do you want to celebrate? Well go a bit later and enjoy the meal and the atmosphere at Sai. This neighborhood place rocks. Out-of-towners from New York City have been stunned by the high quality of Lincoln Park's own Japanese restaurant. Sai has wonderful timely service, and a charming exposed brick decor. Are you in the mood for sushi tonight? Maybe you would like a kani-su, 8 piece sushi combination with a couple of unagi's. See you soon Jimmy!
