Outstanding food--simply put. The management and wait staff were supurb. The stuffed artichoke was too full of breadcrumbs BUT was decadent. Pasta was cooked just right. This place will not disappoint you.

This restaurant is a true taste of the best of Italy. Fresh, quality ingredients are prepared with a deft hand and an eye to bringing out the best flavors. My Italian grandmother would eat here if she were living and I only saw her eat out once...at our wedding!

My husband and i live in NY. For his business he travels to Chicago often. He took me to Rosebud's once and it was fantastic. Being from the Boston area, the North End is fine, but Rosebud is the place we plan on taking our four daughters so they can taste and love it too!!!

My husband and I's favorite thing to do together is eat out and now our second favorite thing is to eat out at Rosebud's. The marinara tastes exactly the same as my grandmother used to make it for Sunday dinner and Rosebud's is one of a few places that serves my all-time favorite, baked cavatelli. Rosebud epitomizes Chi-talian fare.

Lots of Italian places have popped up along Taylor street over the years but ROsebud is still the crown jewel of the area. Went over the weekend with the parents and had a delicious meal. Mom and Dad ordered the Samlon and Veal, and I had the lasagna. Everything was simply outstanding. The cheese and red sauce just melts in your mouth and our server was very very accomodating, even recommending items that were not on the menu. I have been here a couple times and I have never been dissapointed. We will be back for sure.

Originally from Chicago I NOW LIVE IN NORTHERN cALIFORNIA. SAN FRANCISCO HAS SEVERAL NICE ITALIAN RRESTAURANTS, BUT NONE BETTER OR AS GOOD AS THE ROSEBUD ON TAYLOR. EVERY TIME I VISIT CHICAGO I MAKE IT TO THE ROSEBUD.

AS A RISTORANTE OWNER MY SELF IT BECOMES HARDER TO FIND A PLACE WHERE YOU CAN ACTUALLY ENJOY A RED PASTA SUGU AND HAVE IT BE PALITABLE. I HAVE DINED ON TAYLOR STREET ON MANY OCCASIONS WITH FRIENDS,AND USUALLY THE SERVICE THE FOOD IS FANTASTIC.
ON A NOTE OF DISMAY, ON FEB 14 MADE RESERVATIONS FOR THE SAME TABLE WHERE I PROPOSED TO MY FIANCEE,WHEN THE RESERVATION WAS MADE I WAS TOLD THAT THERE WAS NO PROBLEM. RESERVATIONS WERE MADE FOR 7:30 ARRIVED AT THE RESTAURANT ON TIME .THEY GAVE AWAY MY TABLE 2X WHILE WE WAITED.BY THE TIME WE SAT DOWN TO DINE IT WAS 9:40 PM .THEY APOLIGIZED THAT DIN'T MAKE IT BETTER. I LOVE THE FOOD AND EMBIANCE HOWEVER HOW CAN WE NOT WAIT OVER 2 HRS FOR DINNER. FRANK LEVATO

Rosebud on Taylor has been the staple restaurant for us. The penne w/vodka cream sauce is one of our favorites and is just superb. The portions are large, which provide some for taking home. While waiting for your food, you can check out the large framed painting of Frank Sinatra. It is a busy restaurant, so make early reservations. You can never go wrong here.
