Went to DOC last night. The four cheese pizza was great. Service was quite good, and the gelato was heavenly. PS. NY pizza is made on card-board. This was much better than that!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pizza is delectable! The porcini pizza is otherwordly! Try the salads as well-- the arugula and the tricolore salads are great, fresh ways to embark on your meal. Restaurant is crowded-- loud and hard to have intimate conversation. Still, very worth it. Eat there, talk later!

We loved the restaurant!!! I can't wait to go back again - We actually made our own pizzas and the chef and owner were so nice and helpful. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone - I have never met nicer people than these people. Pizza after pizza was perfect. What an experience!!! The pizza was the best I ever had.

I "LOVE" this pizza!!! This is the only place in Chicago that makes pizza like this. The crust is thin, the ingredients are fresh and the taste is unbelievable. Their apps and salads are great as well but pizza is unforgettable. I think I've pretty much told everyone I know that they have to go. In fact I'm going there tonight...yum!

I have grown up around restaurants, my father and brother are both chefs plus I am of Greek heritage, I am not easily wowed. The pizza IS AWESOME. I had gelato after the pizza and an hour later the robust flavor still continued to make my taste buds tingle and want more. A must do tonight out of a maybe I'll check out scale. Continued success Pizza D.O.C.

I lived in Rome for a year when I was in college. This is exactly how the pizza was in Rome. The crust is delicious, and the ingredients are fresh. The prosciutto on the prosciutto and mushrooms pizza is "prosciutto cotto" which is different then regular "prosciutto crudo." Prosciutto crudo is probably what you would be used to having. It's smoked, cured ham sliced. The Prosciutto cotto is boiled ham that is then sliced. It's not "Sarah Lee." It's Italian.

Hands down, best pizza in chicago! Of Course if your idea of Italian food is Giordano's or the olive garden, you probably wont get this place!

Been looking a long time to find a place in Chicago where I could have pizza the way I had it when I lived in Italy - this is the closest thing I found - very authentic and tasty. As taste is for a large part determined by what you grow up with, Americans that have been brought up on processed artificially flavored food, high in sugars and sodium, may not appreciate the more subtle, less "in your face" taste - hence some bad reviews I assume.

I live right next to this place, so I get take out pizza here at least once a week. All the reviewers that claim that the pizza is "soggy, or "needs to be eaten with a spoon" are out of their minds. Consistent, italian-style, and probably the tastiest use of basic ingredients you'll find in a pizza anywhere in chicago. The proscuitto is not deli meat, although it may be slightly different from the proscuitto you're used to. This place is packed every night, including many weekends with people from all over town, so it can't possibly warrant the number of poor reviews on this site and still be a thriving business.
