As a Malaysian living in the Midwest, I have to say I am quite impressed by the authenticity of the food. I love the assam laksa, roti canai, and bah kut teh. I try to go there everytime I visit Chicago which is monthly.

Great food, good prices, huge servings, good service. We walked in with a party of nine with no call ahead of time and got seated right away. If you get one of the soup-type dishes, be prepared for it to be HUGE.

Penang is my most favorite restaurant. The food is excellent and the service is incredible. The environment, although crowded 24/7, provokes a cozy feeling while enjoying your food under the dim lighting.
