Last Christmas season my sisters and mother made a reservation for tea at the Drake after reading raves about the service and holiday spirit. It ended up being a huge disappointment, with over crowding and very poor inattentive service, low quality food and tea. Roving carolers never made it to the corner we were squeezed into, so we didn't hear a bit of the music. I have been to tea in the city numerous times but at other venues and feel qualified to say that the Drake must be skating on a past reputation because they are not keeping up with their competitors, try the Four Seasons instead higher quality and more relaxed even during the holidays.

Listen to a beautiful pianist on Wednesday/Thursday evenings. Kathie Nicolet. 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm. Palm Court/Drake Chicago Hotel. Solo piano at its finest.

The location is beautiful, we loved the harpist. The problem was our waiter did not listen to us. I went with my daughter and niece. My daughter has peanut allergies and my niece just likes peanut butter, not PB and jelly. I asked for PB and other assortments, well he primarily brought us PB and jelly, and when I said this was a problem did not respond. Guess who got to eat PB and jelly- not my favorite. Any ways this is the last time I go there.
