I was told by the bouncers that the manager Rocky did not want any of my friends or I to come into the club ever again. what's funny is my friends and I are regulars and we never had a issue until this week and we dont understand why. its strange how they decided to change I was just there the previous week buying drinks tipping and dancing I dont know.I dont recommend anyone go to this club its a terrible place after this issue

Hell no...I just got home from mothers and I must say this place blows! I went outside for a smoke and door guy - main manger asked to see my stamp...my stamp was on the same hand I was holding my girlfriends hand with and after lifting our hands up, he asked us to leave. I told him what a wonderful person he was and left. Don't waste your time with this overpriced sheethole...if you know what I mean. Chicago has so many more reputable places to go and hang out at that it's never necessary to give a place like this your business. Please don't give them a cent or a sec. of your time. Mother's needs a serious lesson in customer service/satisfaction. We own the door…the club and everything else. If not for our money this place would generate no revenue…good-bye! Get new managers and they...meaning customers will come! This place is the sh** hole of Chicago. This wonderful city has so much to offer when compared to this unprofessional dump. I will never return…thanks to all the wonderful managers…you’re about as dumb as they come.

This place sucks. They didn't let me in because my jeans were too long, but they let two people in after me with shorts on. My friends came out shortly and told me to be glad I didn't get in. If you like 40 year old women and rude bartenders this is the place to be.

I like going to Mother's. The crowd is friendly and usually you can find a special on drinks. Every once in a while I go because it's laid back and casual dress.
Recently I went there and a new dress code was in place. I was told that the following were not allowed: baggy pants, athletic wear, hooded sweatshirts, pants with deep pockets on the sides, and boots.
My boyfriend had on khaki pants, a button up plaid shirt, and dress shoes. He was told he couldn’t get in because they said his pants were baggy. They weren't and he was definitely better dressed than most around us. The bouncers at the door really suck. He offered to the bouncers search him but they gave him no attention and told him to step out of line.
Last night we went and in fear of having to deal with this crap again. This time he wore khaki shorts. This time we were able to get in, but he shouldn't have even had to worry about this.
The dress code policy is stupid. How can you have a $5 cover and have such a strict dress code?
This new policy definitely puts a damper on things. The bouncers at the door have this superiority issue going for them and if they don't like you they'll find a reason to not let you in.

This bar is terrible. I gave the bouncers my ID to find some friends and forgot they had it and ended up staying down for a bit. When I was leaving I couldn't find my ID and realized the bouncers had it. They ordered me to pay $5 since I had been downstairs so long. I went downstairs to try to get money because all I had was a debit. I ended up going to the atm across the street and handed them $20. At this point they then told me they had no change and I had to run to Walgreens. My friend and I were so annoyed. How could they not have change if they were charging cover??? My friend was soo annoyed that she said lets just come back tomorrow when you can get it free. As I was walking toward her and the walgreens I turned around and saw the bouncers talk to some manager type woman who had a walkie talkie. This woman took my id from the bouncers and walked toward the street and threw it in the sewer. When I asked her why she did this she said i should have my friend watch her mouth. She was sooo smug and rude and she talked to the cop before I had a chance to so probably told them some lie because he was asking how old I was (i'm 23) and told me I was drunk. Regardless of anything I have never been treated so rudely in all of my life and felt like I had no rights. I will never return to this bar and thought about filing a criminal complaint but don't want to waste anymore time of mine on this awful bar.

I was at this bar on Saturday night with friends. We paid the cover, tipped the bartenders well, and ordered top shelf drinks, as I have there for 10 YEARS. Later in the evening I ordered a glass of water and they refused to give it to me. They insisted I buy bottled water at a very high price, and it wasn't even a good brand name of water. I tried to tip the bartender $1 for the small cup of water, which is typically the protocal in a late night bar, especially after paying for high priced drinks for hours. The manager lectured me about having to pay the monthly water bill and she threatened me by jesturing that she would have one of the very large men remove me from the bar. I've spent hundreds of dollars there over the years as have my friends. This is bad business and its very disappointing. After this we went across the street for drinks, got a free water, and of course tipped the bartender well. This is just bad business and poor customer service, now they've lost a long time customer forever.

YEA THIS PLACE IS NOT GOOD THE BOUNCERS ARE MEAT HEADS THAT CIRCLE JERK IN THE BATHROOM AND BE CAREFUL THEY MIGHT GRAB YOU BY THE NECK AND KICK YOUR ASS THEN THROW YOU OUT FOR NO REASON, TRUST ME I SAY IT HAPPEN TO THIS ONE GUY HE WAS JUST SITTING TALKING TO HIS 2 BUDDIES AND NEXT THING YOU KNOW HE IS ONM THE GROUND WITH HIS HANDS OVER HIS FACE THEY WERE TRYING TO KNOCK HIM OUT. Give me a break!! All night it seemed like the D.J. loaded in a Jock Jams CD and went back to the kitchen to finish baking the pizza. Guys if you like girls who dance together in thir own inpenitrable circle jerk this is the place. G.W couldnt get past those barriers. Bottom line..go down the street to a real dance club.

i've been in chcago three months and for the low cover on weekends and no cover on weekdays, mothers is perfect loud music, complimentary pizza and lots of drunks to laugh at great spot my fav. place
