Millrose is over-priced. The steaks are smaller and pricier than places such as Jimmy's Charhouse. The steaks were very good, however. The wait staff at Millrose are not very interested in servicing their patrons. The beer is nothing special and certainly no reason to visit Millrose. Advice: For really good steaks at a moderate price--Jimmy's Charhouse (Elgin) For really good micro-brew--Govner's Public House (Algonquin)

I love this place. I generally eat at the bar because the bartenders are so entertaining and make the best drinks. The food is always good, but the jokes and bantering are even better. Go there when you need a exceptionally good beer, some laughs, and new friends.

I'm a frequent customer at Millrose and I have never had a bad experience. The food and service have always been spectacular. I love the atmosphere - Great setting for a romantic night out and perfect for a casual evening with old friends at the bar.

HORRIBLE! The beer was not so great and served all wrong. The food was a lot more expensive than we thought - about $20 a plate. That did not stop them from serving our food cold with soggy french fries and all. The service was bad too. The food had no taste, but was presented well at least.
The atmosphere is nice if you like that whole woodsy country thing, but I would leave this off your list of restaurants to hit!!

If you like good food, go somewhere else; but, if you want a good drink, a good cigar, and supurb surroundings ... this is the place for you.
