I'm a johnny foreigner (Brit) coming here for years for several reasons:
Crowd: Always wonderfully varied and almost always fun - someone is bound to befriend you.
Barstaff: Always been happy to help myself and friends get very drunk
Drinks: The Margarita is in my opinion the best anyway I've been - and I have travelled far across the globe. Everyone I've been drinking with has agreed.
Just don't turn up with any pretences - just enjoy and soak up the alcohol atmosphere and varied music, get involved in banter and leave not knowing your name.
There is a train car out the back which serves food - never been there so can't speak for it. I just like coming here for the buzz.

Within moments of ordering, I had befriended (or was at least sufficiently entertaining to) the people to my immediate right and left, and a few PBR/laphroaigs later, the small group of just-and-painful looking chicks had joined the frey and it was cigar smoke and shameless conversation around. An oddly decent scotch selection to pair with a brimming 'humidor' makes up one of the many suprises surely encountered at a rogueish and clashish addition to your late afternoon.

The drinks are reasonable priced, but the bartenders are rude and slow. Seems like they act like they are doing you a favor. Seems like their speciality is the matchbox martini, 1 part vodka, 1 part vermouth, 2 parts attitude, 1 part ignorance.

The best xtra dirty martini in Chicago with the best bartenders. The girls behind the bar are perfect! Feels like walking into a bar with Capone!!!
