Just like your friend's grandmother used to make! (LOL!) :)

Seriously, great food, and huge portions. The 1/2 portion is too much for me!

Over rated. Chicken was very dry, fettucini with brocoli was dry, hardly any sauce. Pot roast was good. Service was ok. Nothing to brag about. The best part was Nona's pound cake, it made up for the whole entire BLAND meal.

I was in Chicago with friends and our sons to catch the Giants play the Cubs, we ended up at Maggianos on Clarke St. at least once a day often two. The atmosphere was great, the food excellent with super portions, the service was super, but what really made the visit was Wendy behind the bar I don't think I have met a person with a nicer attitude. I can't go back to Chicago without a (lengthy) visit to Maggianos.

My wife and I went to the Maggiano's Oak Brook location. The hostess was distant, hardly so much as looking at us. Although the room was almost empty at the time, she was going to seat us at a table dead center in the room. When I asked her to seat us in a booth, she said nothing, again not even acknowledging that I'd said anything, and simply walked over to a booth.

The waitress was indifferent, though reasonably prompt. Service would not have been particularly good except for an extremely industrial and friendly busboy.

The food itself was good, though not exceptional. Portions were enormous, especially the Chicken Vesuvio which I ordered. I had the half order, and it made three meals for me.

Prices would appear high, everything being a la carte, except that the huge portions make sure that you have at least a second, if not a third, dinner from what is served.

Overall, the experience was more favorable than unfavorable.

The music was very good and Italian. Very cute!!! I liked the fried rice and calamari and Cola drink and anything with the red sauce. Waiter was very cute!!!

Had a chance to spend another great weekend in Chicago - as far as I am concerned, this is the only place to go and eat in Chicago. My mouth was watering as we drove from the Quad Cities! Fantastic food, fantastic place. My only request - please, please come a little West and build a Maggiano's in the Quad Cities. We need a magnificent restaurant as this one! Hurry!

I was in Chicago in August and had the pleasure of eating at Maggianos and it was one of the best meals I ever had! The portions were so large it was ridiculous. I highly recommend this fabulous restaurant.

Just came back from a weekend in Chicago. Had the pleasure of eating at Maggiano's. Food was absolutely superb! Too much to eat, and we are professional eaters! Service was excellent - ask for Marco to be your waiter - we just loved him! Order the stuffed mushrooms with cream sauce for an appetizer! Melts in your mouth! I ordered the Chicken Vesuvio - best chicken dish I have ever had in my life! Can't wait to go back. Perhaps we will play hookey from work and sneak back to Maggiano's!
