The Links were the size of small uncooked hotdogs. The rib tips were smoked too long and left the ribs very hard to chew. And for $29 I should have been able to feed a family of six. If you want to see an order of ribs go down to Alice's in Chicago. But don't take my word for it, go and try them...

Having lived in California for over 5 years, I really do miss good BBQ like Lem's!!! I remember the sauce from when my father would bring it home from visiting relatives in Chicago. This place is a Landmark!!! You have to truly love BBQ to appreciate this food!!

Best BBQ tips in the city. Best memory is my parents coming in from a night on the town with 4 bags from Lem's on State Street. The tips,hot links and center cut ribs were the "best". The hickory flavor and that sauce can not be beat.

There is no other BBQ in the city of Chicago like Lem's. I've tried the others - they don't even come close. Lem's ribs are lean and mean. There is plenty of meat on the ribs and especially the tips - my favorite. I drive all the way from Homewood to get Lem's! That's the reason I'm on this site today - to find out how early I can get some Lem's today!

Lem's has the best BBQ on the South Side for many years. The taste and quality is still the best!!

I come all the way from 5800 North to get ribs from Lem's because to me they are the best tasting ribs in Chicago, and you can't complain about the amount that you get, they make sure you get enough.service is prompt and there's no messing around. go and get them you can't loose.

This is the best Bar B Q in Chicago. North, east, south, or west you can't find better. I have been eating lems since I was a child and i'm 55 years old. This was my mom's favorite spot. God rest her soul. She would not eat any other bar b q if Lems was not open. Keep up the good work. You're the best!

This is by far the best bbq in the city. I've only had the rib tips and the ribs, but it is the sweetest combination of juicy, charred, and smoked meats ever.

I too reside in ATL, but born and raised on Chicago southside. My mother, who grew up with Lem and his family, used to stop by Lems with me on the way back from her doctor's office, down the street from Lems. I always make a stop there when I return to Chicago every 2 years. MMMMMMM, the best . . . .
