The LaSalle theatre, which is located behind the LaSalle bank at 4901 W. Irving Park Road, has much to whet the appetite of a film buff. It also offers plenty of free parking in the spacious lot adjacent to the theatre entrance. For Noir addicts, films such as Out of the Past, Mask of Dimitrios, Kiss of Death and Farewell My Lovely, are shown regularly. There is also a steady diet of musicals, so Fred Astaire is no stranger to LaSalle's silver screen. As an added inducement, you can purchase a KingKong sized vat of popcorn for under two dollars and candy bars are usually 75 cents. Come early and try to get good seats away from some of the seniors who can be vocal and detract from your viewing enjoyment.
