I was staying at the Marriot and saw this place across the street. The best Rib Eye I ever ate. The Corn bread was great, the salad was simple yet perfect, and when she poured my Greyhound, she squeezed the grapefriut on the spot. Highly recommended, I will be back.

I had heard good things about Bandera so I went with two friends. I was rather disappointed. The menu had a very small selection - only one side of a page. Furthermore, we were told we had a wait of a half hour, when it ended up being nearly twice that. The hostess didn't ask whether we wanted smoking or non, and we were seated at a table ostensibly in the non-smoking section but a foot away from the bar, where smoking was permitted. Not only was there no separation but there was incredibly poor ventilation, which made the entire smoke filled night quite miserable. The food was pricey, and not particularly good - I tried the chicken, and wasn't impressed. The sides that came with it were mediocre as well. The only good thing about the restaurant was the musician - although the din of the room made it nearly impossible to hear each other. I will not be going back.

Bandera has become one of our favorite restaurants! The food and service is equally exceptional and absolutely the best steak I have ever eaten!

Having dinner at Bandera was not a forgettable experience. The Macho salad was delicious but not too flashy, and my chicken was grilled perfectly. The fact that everyone from the hostess to the bartender was gorgeous didn't hurt either.
