I took my family to dinner at La Luce's last Friday following a Memorial Service downtown. I hadn't been there in years, since the Bull's glory years. WE LOVED OUR EXPERIENCE! The chicken Vesuvio was great, and my daughter said her Talapia was the best she's ever had! The service was outstanding. The tab was a reasonable $150.00, including a bottle of wine. All-in-all, our experience was an A+!

This place is ok, nothing special. Typical Italian food. We went here before a Hawks game to eat. While the food was good the service was terrible. The waiter was the most un-friendly SOB I ever encountered. I guess because we were wearing Hawks jerseys he didn't think we had money. We do have money just not for his tip though. Avoid this place unless you love rude service

My wife and I make it a habit to stop here on the way to the United Center before the hockey games. Great food (too much at times), but moderately prices and good tasting food make this a great place. Wine list is small, but what they have is yummy.

Not the best experience. Food was overcooked. Tried it twice since it's in my new neighborhood. Can't recommend at all. Amore on Madison is much better.

I've been to La Luce quite a few times and have been very satisfied with the food and the service. I have no complaints and always go there when I want some good home style intalian food. I recommend this restaurant to everyone I know.

The food was cold and tasteless. I was not happy with the service and when I pointed this out the management actully became argumentative. I will never go back.

La Luce is one of the best retaurants in chicago. The food is absolutely wonderful and the restaurant is so comfortable and laid back. It is a nice hidden little spot in the city, and the staff is great....

Food was excellent and service was fabulous!! This is a quaint and cozy restaurant and we are now going to come back freuquently. This was our first time and we loved it.

Third time there but on last visit, th valet parking ruined my whole experience. Arrived early with a friend and parked my own car on the street. Later, after dinner, valet wanted to charge me for the spot. This was AFTER he came on duty. La Luce's manager then came out and told me it was the restaurant's "policy" to charge for the street parking. Whaaa?? Big ugly scene in front of restuarant. Handled poorly. They lost my business for good.

Been to La Luce several times and I really like the laid back atmosphere and great food. I am tired of waiting to get into Maggiano's and their food isn't even as good. Try the Calamari appetizer, Portobello Mushrooms, and any dinner, they're all very good. I am definately going back.
