Since the smoking ban has gone into effect, many bars in the Chicago area have been left without an effective way of masking their putrid odors, which usually consist of some combination of puke, piss, and mildew. The ITP is one of these bars. Even the pint glasses stink.

Check out the DJ on Tuesday nights. He's been there for 5years and rocks. Brings in his collection of music(funk, punk, rock, alt, country etc.etc.) Always a good time and friendly people. Free Pool and cheap drinks.

Horrible place to take a date. She'll get groped my some loser. You'd swear these hipters just got out of jail. Otherwise, it's an okay bar.

Top of the line. Seems there's always something interesting going on at Mike's. A freindly owner, courteous bartenders and captivating patrons makes for a fun visit each time I go.

If the owner of The Inner Town Pub would invest in a decent P.A. with monitors, and another speaker near the door, maybe the performers at the open mikes could actually hear themselves and be heard by people beyond a 12 ft. distance. I would recommend attending the open mike as a performer, (the free pint RULES) but watch out for Mike if you have too much soul, he'll come up and turn the P.A. off in the middle of your performance.
