AWESOME. Yes, the line can be a mile fu**ing long some days, but bring a paper and get ready for the finest DOGS in Chicago...no, in the country. I love the hot dogs, chili dogs (though I think they over cook their char grill sometimes), brats, Polish, corn dogs, etc, etc. Fantastic and your bill is like $6. A side note, it is also a pleasure to go to a business where you see the owner is such a nice guy. PLEASE BUILD A LOCATION IN WICKER PARK!!!

Hot Doug's is the greatest! If you are going to eat there, be sure to order the Paul Kelly. It is the bratwurst. Not only is it very, very tasty, but 25 cents of your purchase price goes to a very worthy cause. thankyouverymuch, OldCleat

This is truly a gourmet hot dog stand and stands heads and wieners above any other in the City or anywhere else I've sampled. The portions are generous; the staff helpful and professional and the experience first class. If only Doug could pick music, the place would be five stars!!

A friend sent me in the direction of Duck Fat Fries and my life will never be the same. Think about the smooth, dry fries you see everywhere with little crystals of salt and then envision the opposite. Doug's Duck Fries are succulent, greasy, crunchy, almost buttery french fries. Despite the fact that they feature the grease they are cooked in they are almost light, they don't coat your mouth like other animal fat fried potatoes. They are so good.

Yes, I loved my Chipotle Chicken Dog (dressed with some sort of spicy hollendaisy sauce and a couple of mandarin orange segments) a lot. But those fries.

My friends were leaving. I'm standing there while they get up, still grabbing the little bits at the bottom of the basket.

Ooooh, I can't wait to get back.

Great dogs, fun atmosphere/decor. The special sausages are worth trying- so far, I've never had a bad one. Also, these are the cheapest, best quality plain-jane Chicago dogs around- only $1.50...I'll take 6!
