Holiday Club is the best thing going in Uptown. The atmosphere is "chilled" with a Rat Pack meets Punk Rock theme. It's located right off the Sheridan "el" stop, just look for the sparkly sign. Can't beat those $5 food specials and a great Sunday brunch. The kitchen is open til 1:00 which is really convenient when you've got the late night munchies. Overall, it's good fun-great tunes, retro photo booth, back room with nightly entertainment and great prices. Check it out!

i disagree with the assertion that you 'need a stiff drink' to go along with the holiday club's food. i think they have some of the best bar food in the city, especially the immense nachos that are like a meal onto their own, the downhome comfort plate of turkey on top of bread with stuffing and gravy, the pizza (made fresh, by the way), the tasty burgers, not to mention their wings, which recently won some citywide bar wings contest. i like to go early, actually, before all the untucked dress shirt crowd fills the joint, and eat (stay away from the calamari, though).

I have been to the holiday club at the end of the night for post midnight drinking and Sunday morning. Both times were very good. Late night, the service was suprisingly good! Waitresses were very attentive and the bouncers were friendly and accomodating and the bartenders were helpful.

The Holiday is a pretty damn good place to go the food is good and the bartenders are awesome...andrew is the only one I have ever met but they all make great and generous drinks the prices are average and the jukebox is full of "the right" music...the only down side is that the women that frequent this place are a little on the homely side...not all of them but the majority are not worth your time.
