I've been there many times, it's kind of pricy compare to other lith food restaurants. Also I buy food from www.valgiai.com they have flour mixes for cepelinai or pancakes you can make yourself! Anyways lithuanian bread is the best:)

If you would like Lithuanian food that is very close to homemade (although we all know nothing compares to home cooking) then I suggest MABENKA restaurant. 7844 S. Cicero Ave, Burbank, IL. 708.423.7679 Their sausage is fresh, their Kugelis is tasty and they have an amazing apple pancake. Even the Cepelinai is quite good.

If you are looking for Lithuanian or polish breads and european desserts, The 95th Street Market in Hickory Hills offers many treats and ingredients for cooking your own Lithuanian fare. They have breads and cheese desserts from The Racine Bakery and The Laramie Bakery.

my boyfriend and i love this charming restaurant. it has lithuanian artifacts and tapestry and even amber jewelry. the food was as good as my grandmothers cooking. not only do they offer the lithuanian dishes, but their omelets and the oatbran pancakes and the "breakfast of champions" (eggs and kugelis) are delicious. the prices are decent, i think something of $10 for the koldoni (meat dumpling) combination, which i recommend. we always have more than enough to eat.

I 've been there 2 times, and as a true lithuanian I can say I DID NOT LIKE it, i thought food was overpriced for that type of place, and not that authentic, there are some better and cheaper lithuanian restaurants in Chicago area for ex. SMILGA, but if anyone knows any newer places please let me know

I have found this restaurant on internet looking for Lithuanian food and people. I was very excited to meet Lithuanians (I am from Lithuania too, I have lived in USA for almost 4 years and I have missed real Lithuanian food badly). But ...food was fine, but the girl who served my husband and I was kind rude...She was Lithuanian who just moved to USA a year ago. I tried to ask her some questions in Lithuanian but she just ignored me. It looked like she got mad on my husband because he had hard time understanding her accent. I have an accent to but I try not to get frustrated when I need to repeat something I have said. My excitement is gone I don’t know if I want to meet that girl ever or other American Lithuanians...My husband also couldn’t understand how people of the same nationality could be so strange to each other so far away from home...

I love the sauerkraut (sp?) soup from Healthy Foods! I think I could honestly live on it. The sour cherry pancakes are awesome there!! Wanda the cook is the sweetest woman in the world!

If you're looking for hot Lithuanian chicks wearing scantily-clad clothing, then this is not for you. The food was decent, but the authenticity of the patrons and employees made for a wonderful experience.
