I came to Chicago in June to attend a program for teachers development. Our Welcome banquet was in Harry Caray's which we all enjoyed. It was arranged by the UIC. Thanks.

This a a must for any baseball fan traveling thru Chicago. But be prepared to pay for it . You can almost feel that Harry is still watchig over the place . Our burgers were cooked as ordered and the server was quick to get us another beverage . It does get busy on the weekend and when the Cubs are in town .

A few nights ago, I had a layover in Chicago and walked through the terminal at Midway in search of a meal. When I saw Harry Caray's, I decided to go there. I walked to the host station and asked if they were still serving dinner. The host said, "The bar's over there, sir." I told him I wanted dinner, not a drink, and again, he said, "The bar's over there, sir." I took a seat at a table in the bar and asked for a menu. The host came back and said, "The bar's over there, sir." It was the only thing the guy said. I was IN the bar. I told him I didn't have time for his foolishness and left. The rudeness and lack of service are why I'll never go there again if I'm in Midway.

amalfi hotel uses this restaurant for it's room service and it's really the worst food I've ever had. Over-priced (which I'm finding is the norm in Chicago for really bad food). If you want good food and are willing to shell out $50 go to Brasserie Jo on Hubbard street or even Blackie's - it's so much better.

This is for Harry Caray's at Midway Airport. August 23, 2004. Memu is liminted because it is in airport, but that is understandable. I noticed other meals that other patrons were geting and they looked great. Service was very timely. We had the best hambergers Ever from any where. 10 oz steakberger for under $14 including drink.
