Gullivers used to have GOOD Chicken Vesuvio now they use "chicken breasts" instead of a half chicken like they used to do. The result is very, very disappointing. The "chicken breasts are tough, dry and tasteless. They also discontinued the corn-on-the -cobb which I considered to be a favorite. Hopefully these cost cutting changes which have resulted in lower quality are temporary, because if they're not,I'm taking my business elsewhere. You used to be able to count on Gullivers to be very good. I've been a frequent customer since the 70s. They're not that good anymore. I understand they may have a new owner. He (or she)needs to reassess the changes because so far they are NOT acceptable.

I've always enjoyed Gulliver's as a local pizza place compared to all the chains. Their menu has a great selection of items and the decor is fabulous.

I thought the pizza was horrible...especially when the cockroach ran across my shoe and up the table onto the food....the drinks sucked too.

Gulliver's is legendary in Rogers Park. From the gorgeous antiques that fill the interior to the fantastic food and pizza, to their absolutely HUGE menu, Gulliver's has never failed to deliver wonderful food and a great time. I've been going there for most of my 34 years on this planet and will continue to go for many years to come. They have a well stocked bar, patio and are open late too!

I ordered a pizza, delivery. Spinach, sundried tomatoes, black olives - simple right. Oh, and thin crust. Delivery was prompt, pizza was warm - so far so good. Unfortunately, this was the worst pizza I have ever had, EVER. Even in Africa the pizzas are better. It was bland, the sundreid tomatoes were old and chewy. The crust was soggy. At $26, what a rip-off. I had to call them, which I never do, to tell them how awful we thought it was. Their response: "there are plenty of pizza places in the area". SHOCKING.

This is a really wonderfull restaurant. Most people that go there can find something that suits their tastes. The pan pizza is fantastic. Better in the place rather than delivery though (gets cold quickly). Avacodo egg rolls! are savory and just damn good.

Wonderful decor, like a Victorian parlor or sculpture museum, very "over the top," in a delightful way. A unique place. There are high-backed wooden booths along the walls for privacy, you can spend hours here writing your novel, balancing your checkbook, meeting a friend, or whatever. In summer the patio is stunning. Love this place! The food is good too!
