The Green Door remains a gem of an historic Chicago bar in a rapidly modernizing neighborhood of River North. The drinks are generous and the food great - both bargains in an increasingly expensive part of town. The beer selection on tap is excellent and always served in the proper glass at the proper temperature. The staff are laid back, but always attentive, contributing to the casual welcoming atmosphere. The recent addition of a fireplace make this a great winter haven for the tired, hungry and thirsty.
