I thought this place was very overrated. It was very bright, especially in the bar. Our table setting was extremely pedestrian. Service was good but way to hurried for an upscale steak chain.

The caesar salad was all iceberg lettuce with some out-of-the-can caesar dressing. The croutons looked like they were shaken from a box.

The server tried to insist we have our steaks cooked medium and not medium rare. We insisted on medium rare but they arrived medium anyway. The quality of the beef itself was fantastic. My strip was buttery and probably very flavorful. I say probably because the outside of the steak was charred to the point that it affected the flavor of the steak. My wife's was the same way. Other steakhouses manage to cook over very high heat without burning the outside. I'm not sure what the problem was.

We ordered French Fries as a side which were fine.

There are lots of good independent steakhouses in the US, but this really is not one of them. In fact, I think most of the chains do a better job.

Good food, service was rushed and fast. We weren't even done with our salads and the main course was brought out. Not a warm and friendly place.

The London Broil at Gibson's is amazing. The sides and desserts are amazingly large.

The place is better than Morton's.

Of the big chicago steakhouses has one of the better atmospheres. Its sides are terrific and blow the others away.

The service is terrific and they sightseeing good on Rush.

Unfortunately its steaks have been very good the last two trips there, but far from overwhelming. I would go to it over Mortons because it is cheaper, equal in steak quality, and has better sides. I would put Keefers, G&G's (bad sides), Capital Grill, and Smith and Wollinshy's steaks ahead of Gibsons right now.
