I am dumbfounded at Jack's comments. I have been to Gabriel's perhaps a dozen times. Gabriel has always been come to the front of the room to graciously greet his guests. His wait staff are enthusiastic and professional, the food imaginative, and the wine list nicely balanced. One of my favorite places in the area.

I wonder what color the sky is in Jack's world? He surely must have eaten at a different restaurant than I did tonight.
The staff couldn't possibly have been friendlier. They really went out of their way to make us feel welcome, and to see that we had a good time.
The food was WONDERFUL! One of the best meals I've had in a very long time (and I eat in restaurants all over the country, almost every night of the year). The lobster was incredible (and not a lot of work to eat).
The wine list is amazing -- and the sommelier very helpful and informed.
Both of our desserts were excellent -- but the homemade mango sorbet was probably the best I've ever eaten.
I will definitely be going back.
