The doctor was denied entry because he only had a mexican ID. He didn't have a passport. The Franks staff doesn't care where you come from, just that you have the right identification. The doorman was just following the rules made by cook county.

Discrimination at the door ! i am a doctor visiting chicago from Mexico and i was told at the door by the doorman that passport from mexico are not acceptable for documentation , so i was decline entry into franks. i was ther on 15 april ,2008 so anyone visiting from mexico ! don't waste you time going to Franks, because may be decline entry.

Watch out for the guys at the door... they will rip you off if you aren't careful. I was entertaining friends from out of town and figured Franks was a decent venue but got double charged for cover and when I realized it, they refused to correct the mistake. The place is definitely not worth any cover... There are better 4 am bars in Chi-town

My group lucked out getting there early and getting a booth by the front other wise we might have left. It got really crowded at 2 when other bars closed. Our waitress Maggie was GREAT! Very laid back and friendly. Bouncers were polite, not pushy like others seem to think. At the end of the night the bar tab was huge. I wouldnt do it every weekend on my salary but well worth it. I cant wait to go back!!

Frank's sucks. the fucken bartender freaks out cuz i dont immediately drop a tip for my budlight bottle. r u kidding me? i didnt order a mixed drink, so what the fuck. I could open my own $4 overpriced budlight. the bartender is some big fuck bag pussy. screw franks, youll save money.

Bartenders and staff are really great, EXCEPT bouncers. These tough guys get off on pretending the didnt play dungeons and dragons growing up. Whatever you do, dont tell the short guy how much of a loser he is. This straight-up dork thinks he can rip up your cover money and get away with it. Other than that, OK late night bar for last stop on the way home.

Gotta say that Frank's is an awesome bar. The staff is awesome, the atmosphere is awesome, and we all know Frank's awesome. They always keep their customers happy, especially from BB down the street.
