I had heard good things about this restaurant and had seen a local commercial regarding this place. The service was good, the food reminded me of Outback. I had ordered the catfish (over seasoned). When I received the bill there was a charge of .75 cents for tarter sauce I asked my waiter about this and she apologised for the charge but said she had to. I asked for the manager, when he came over he told me that they had to charge me for the tartar sauce to keep up with costs. Don't you think if a customer asked to see the management regarding a charge such has this they would just apologise and take it off the bill, not this place. He could have just has well said deal with it and then walked away. I will never step foot in Fireside again, and will tell as many people about my experience as I can. what a way to run a business....

I ordered the Grilled Chicken Sandwich. In the darkness of the patio, it looked okay. I wasn't sure, but thought it may be a little off. Indeed it was undercooked. I knew it for sure after a bite. The texture was off and the inside was barely warm. When the server returned to our table about five minutes later, I told him of the problem. He took the plate back to the kitchen with his apologies.
I called the restaurant later that evening, and talked to man who apologized, took my information, and told me the owner would be calling me back the next day. That day came and went without a call. I called the next day and talked to a manager who told me matter-of-factly that in sixteen years of working there she had never heard of anyone getting undercooked chicken from their kitchen. This struck me as slightly odd since another friend of mine, who orders delivery from Fireside on a regular basis, was vomiting and had diarrhea for a week after he recently ate one of their Cajun Chicken Sandwiches, and had called in previously as well speaking to a gentleman who didn't seem to care but told him that the information would be told to the manager.
The manager apologized, took my information, and said that she would pass it on to the owner who would then call me back. It is now three days later and I have not received a call.
I didn't want or expect anything free or such from the restaurant for my problem, but I certainly would have appreciated a returned phone call.

I love Fireside!I was in there the other day and I am a regular I love the tenders, and the specials. I was there today and I seen the manager treat the server like crap in front of me.I felt bad for the server. The customer should never watch somethng like that, and the server should be treated beter by the manager.I was very happy with my service. The food was great, I was not happy with the way she talked down to someone like she was better than them.I have been going there for three years and love it, and I love the srvers. I have always had someone very nice, I will be back. The serice is great the food is wonderful!

The "build-a-pizza" rocks with lots of out-of-the-ordinary pizza toppings to choose from. The directions say to get off at the Berwyn stop, but it should say Bryn Mawr. (1 1/2 blocks north of Bryn Mawr/Ravenswood)

Unfortunately this place is really going downhill, the ribs which are usually great, were small and dry on my last visit for dinner.
The service on Sunday’s for brunch is appalling, they need to employ more staff to wait and clear tables.
Very disappointing, I keep on going back thinking it was just that one time but everytime I give this place another chance it gets worse.

Sadly my most recent stay was absolutely terrible and im honestly dissapointed to say after 6 years of dining in fireside. The food is great ....the prices are reasonable however the bartender (blond with an accent....clearly has been drinking) was so unprofessional and rude not to mention abused my trust in giving my credit card to her which she overcharged. As a server.... I notice these things as I have seen co-workers get fired for doing the same exact thing(adding in more money on the "tip" line). I loved this place for so long and even spent my 21st birthday there....So sad to find out its a snakey place.

Great food and better people. I have lived away for about a year now and miss this place the most! If you haven't been, it's worth the trip.
