I WAS THERE ON FRIDAY NIGHT, THE UPSTAIRES HAD A WARM COZY FEELING, THE SALSA WAS MOUTH WATERING, THE FISH TACOS WILL KEEP YOU WANTING MORE. I GIVE A 10/10 ON SERVICE,FOOD,DECOR!!!!!! MUST TRY

Great Burrito's, I have been getting their Burrito's for a long time considering I live 2 blocks away. Recently I ventured around the menu and tried the breakfast burrito and fish taco's, excellent food, good service and atmosphere. Overall a 8/10. I get carry-out here once a week. Well worth the walking distance.

Go for the location, stay for the food, and come back for the wonderful conversations you will have here because of the overall vibe / feel of the place. Great example of what our neighborhood is all about!
I just had yet another business lunch here at their original location. The service was just fine, perfect for a relaxed 3-hour business discussion.
The guacamole was fantastic, as usual. The soups we had were filling and flavorful. And the margaritas were AMAZING (with Heradura anejo).
This is one of those small family-owned neighborhood treasures that I hope is around forever... just like it is now. Am I a touch biased because they were there when we really needed food late one night? And again when we didn't have much money and wanted a nice local place to celebrate? Yes... but we love it and I hope they never change.

I love El Cid, but recently the service has gotten bad. I don't know if it was me, but the waitress got the order wrong 3 times. I was frankly bothered. I was very dissapointed.
SERVICES IS NOT THAT GREAT.

One of the best Mexican restaurants in Chicago. The atmosphere is great, I love their scents and candles. Their waitresses are super friendly and courteous. The food is amazing and you really get more than enough for your money. Try their burritos with steak. These boys are huge and the price is reasonable. They got authentic Mexican atmosphere blended with a Chicagoan classy style. It is a great place to dine.
