Tacky service plus pretentious airs make for a stinky place. This is exactly what this restaurant is. The place looked good from the outside, but the food is rather forgettable and the service truly embarrassing.

There are many far better places where to spend your money than here.

NOTE: this is part 3 of 3; see below reviews

Union defies its chosen name (perhaps they should have stayed with Geese so customers could “fly out” of there!). This is not a place for union and fellowship over good food. This is not the place for casual enjoyment of food and friends. They have a stated policy, which they are quick to share with the customer: you are to be in and out of there so the next gaggle can sweep in. And then, like Geese, make a V-line for the door. Union’s food is adequate. The pizza has a nice crust, but the toppings are lame. The beer menu is terrific. For better pizza, a welcoming atmosphere, a wider menu and great wine, I’ll choose Trattoria D.O.C. down the street, again!

She said she would “try to ask the management for an exception.” We ate our potato and goat cheese pizza (nice crust, limp potato, tasteless goat cheese), sausage pizza (nice crust, overall good taste) and chick pea soup (very good). We ordered another round of drinks. It was at this point the mgr, Heather, came and ORDERED us to vacate our table and move to the bar area (where there was standing room only), because we were violating POLICY. When I told her I was handicapped, explained that we were indeed ordering (our drinks cost more than the food!), she became hostile, said, “she would pay for our bill” repeated her order to vacate, re-stating the POLICY that the tables are for ordering food. She grabbed our bill; I refused to let her pay our $135.00 bill. I paid our bill. (continued)

I will never go to Union again. As a frequent restaurant visitor, and a former food industry professional, I was shocked and dismayed by the treatment we received at Union. 6 arrived after work on a Friday.Seeing I was handicapped, the hostess was immediately accommodating and led us to a table.Shock begins: our waitress arrives, announces that Union “policy” is “turn tables over in 1-1 1/2 hours.” "Order our drinks,"she will return to take our order for ALL the food we wish to have (reminded again of our time limit). We ordered our drinks & pizzas, informing her we would like to assess what else we would like, and then order more, depending on how hungry we still were. She became irritated and repeated the POLICY. I said we would please have the two pizzas and soup now. (continued)
