Tumbao is truly a great place to have drinks with your girls, dance to fantastic music, and check out the cuties. Tons of men...sometimes 3-1 men to women. The dress code didn't seem strict but why would you go out on a Friday with sneakers? Come on now!! The food is yummy and my drinks were fierce.

Horrible place. I wouldn't recommend this place. This place reiks of boogey, with their strict dress code, watered down drinks, horrible service, and big headed door-man. He kept stating the place was closed, when clearly it's open late. He told some ppl behind me 2 leave bc they were wearing sneakers and then the grungiest person came & cut in line wearing sneakers while the rest of us continued to wait outside, even tho it was at 'capacity'!!!

Come out to Tumbao on Bomba Nights (every 3rd & 4th Thursday)! It is the BOMB! Drinks are a little watered down, but their los jibaritos (4 to an order) with side salad are very tasty!

Tumbao is the place to dine if you are looking for some great Caribbean food in the Humboldt Park area. The food is delicious. I suggest the mixed seafood with tostones and sauteed yuca. The scenery is awesome. I loved the friendliness and service of the staff. The prices are very reasonable. I really enjoyed myself. I definitely would recommend it to everyone. (@))}-'-,--

Tubao sounded like the place I would want to go to and check out for its late night ambiance. I would have loved to write a good review for this place however will not be able to since the bouncer insisted they were closed!! at 11:30 on Friday!! He did not say they were at capacity he said they were closed. Maybe you need to know someone to get into this place!!!

Kudos to Tumbao! GREAT food, EXCELLENT martinis and mojitos. However, service is lacking a bit and it would help if the server were more knowledgeable with how the food is prepared.

IF YOU WANNA GO TO A PLACE WHERE U CAN FIND A GREAT LATIN SCENE WITH GOOD FOOD, DRINKS & SEXY PEOPLE, TUMBAO'S THE PLACE TO BE!...AND WHEN YOU'RE NOT HAVING A COSMO AT THE BAR U CAN BE DANCING THE NIGHT AWAY TO THE LIVE SALSA BAND/DJ RYTHYM AND BEATS. AN OVERALL FUN PLACE. ;)

This place is the perfect fusion of Puerto Rico meets the city ! The drinks are reasonable and delicious, the cuisine will take you back to your Taino roots and the ambience is serene and exciting. This is THE PLACE TO BE !

Absolutely wonderful place to hang out and have a great time! The owners are very nice and friendly and the Jazz band is great on Thursday's GREAT food as well.
