I went on the 1st Wed. of the month for soul night. I thought it was really cool and im not a "hipster" type by any means just love good music. It's dark and sweaty but the music had everyone groovin. Service was good and drinks are pretty cheap. Dress approt. b/c you are gonna sweat. Worth it though!

Would be great if all the scenester-hipster kids that populate the place dropped the "too cool for school" attitude and actually were more social. Seems these people (west coast roots?) have infiltrated the once-friendly Chicago scene and makes meeting real people a sure challenge.

I dig the place, its intimate sized but not too cramped, and has a very cute crowd of mid 20 somethings. Definitley has a oldschool Chicago feel to it, like back in the Shelter days.
