I continue to be So impressed with this restaurant. The host sat us down promtly in the courtyard; which was delightful. The server had command of their wines; offering a history lesson on wines from Italy to Argentina. The food was delicious and our eating experience was capped by great desserts. I can't thank them enough for a splendid time.

Saturday my friends and I had been out all day. We were making our way down Milwaukee Ave and saw Pasta D'Arte. We stopped to eat and what a find. I had the special, Chilean Seabass...one of the specials for the day..and it was out of this world. Because we all live in the Edison Park are we usually eat in that neighborhood, but not far away is a GEM and we will be coming back to Pasta D'Arte very soon.

I travel quite a bit while making a living. I was in the Chicago area in April of this year. My girlfriend came up for the weekend and we decided to find something to eat (italian). We used OnStar to find a place relative to where we were driving and happened accross Pasta D'Arte. WHAT A BLESSED OCCASSION!! I am not an affluent individual, but I love fine dining. It is important for me to find food worth the price.. Did I ever find it!! We had an expectation of around $25 per plate. We were right around that with desert! The food was wonderful! The ambiance was cozy but not cramped. Casual enough for jeans and a nice shirt.. but would not be surprised at jackets and ties. I live in Central IL. We are going back this weekend (Oct 17th.) I just called and made the reservations. Anyone living within a 50 mile radius (or more in my case) should ABSOLUTELY TRY THE CUISINE at Pasta D' Arte

A group of three of us recently went to Pasta D’arte to celebrate 2 birthdays. We had made a reservation for 5 p.m. Although the small restaurant was so noisy that we could not hear each other, we were enjoying our food until at 6:30, a mere 1 1/2 hours after we were seated for a 4-course dinner, the waiter dropped off the check and told us that we needed to leave our table by 6:45 because another reservation was arriving at 7 p.m. We were very annoyed, but presented our credit card when the waiter again demanded we leave our table and told us to settle our check in the bar area. All of us have traveled extensively and eaten at every type of restaurant from take-out to 5-star Michelin restaurants. Never have we been treated so rudely. We asked to speak to the manager, who told us it’s not the restaurant’s policy to throw guests out, but offered no explanation for the waiter’s actions. The bartender offered us a drink, but we told him our evening was already ruined. I told both the waiter and the manager that this restaurant is by no means “Italian” because in Italy it is the height of rudeness to present the check before the guests request it, let alone demand they leave. We arrived with high expectations for a wonderful evening, but ended up being tossed out, Never again, Pasta D’arte.

We have chosen this location 5 times prior to being discussed on Check Please. Last night was our 6th and final attempt because the service is as inconsistent as the food preparation.
This particular waiter seemed to be rehearsing a bad comedy routine and pressured us into two dishes which were over seasoned to a degree we could not finish them.
Our 1st two visits were so different then our last four but unfortunately this restaurant is no longer worth the price of admission.

Great Authentic Italian Food! This is a small prize close to home. Had no idea it existed
