Went to the buffet on Sunday. I was very dissapointed with the selection of food. The price for two people was over 50 dollars without tip. Orange juice and coffee was not included in price. Very dissapointed!!!

I consider myself one of the few who discovered Anna Maria's in the mid-90's. It was a go-to first date place and never failed with authentic italian dishes and reasonable prices. Evidently, things changed. I went back to the old favorite on valentine's this year. I was severly disspointed. Our first interaction with our waitress was after 20 min of sitting down. The dissapointment continued when we began receiving the food. The bread was cold and hard. The polenta appetizer was just ok. Our entrees were scalding hot even after a 20 minute cool down -- and were deprived of taste and forced the choice to either burn our mouths or grow even more hungry. The waitress attention never improved and after finally getting her attention to process the bill, I had to go find her to finally bring it back with my credit card. Just like I said good bye to my Kenneth Cole chunky square toes of the 90s, I'm bidding Anna Maria's a fond farewell as well.

Love this place. When in Chicago, ate there weekly. Got engaged there. Favs: grilled calamari, polenta. Great people too.
