I came in with my wife last sunday for the unlimited tapas. We had the best tapas ever with a bottle of house wine and spent $50. This place is way cheaper and better than the other tapas restaurants in the city Also there was a sign promoting sangria at 99 cents on Tuesdays, now that's a great deal!

Well where do I begin? The place is gorgeous. My friends and I were anticipating the opening, but it was a HUGE disappointment. I can't believe the good reviews here- all I can think is that those people have not ate REAL Spanish food. The food was terrible. The service was good, we ended up sending almost all the food back. Everything was sooooo bland. Of the four tapas we tried not one seemed to be seasoned. The paella was way over cooked and tasted like something out of a lean cuisine package If they want to succeed they need to learn how to make authentic tapas not frozen stuff. This is the reason I usually stay away from suburban restaurants unless I hear a good review. If everything tasted half as good as it looked I would be happy. If this is what passes for good tapas in Naperville, I'll stick with Meson Sabika, or iberico in downtown. The chef has a creative flair but someone should teach him how to cook. It's a shame for such a nice place.

We had a GREAT experience!! The food is the best, and the sangria is to die for. Very cozy, and nice enviroment, felt at home. The meal portions are not big, thats why they are called "Tapas"! Order a few and you will feel full. Prices are very reasonable. Had a great time and will return soon!!

If you like eating tiny, tastless portions in below 0 degree restaurant, Macarena is a place for you. Belive me, the food sucked - I was really surprised. My first course was the solomillo en tostada appetizer, the solomillo was hard and the manchego had a really foul taste. I told the waitress and she very nicely did take it back. I ordered the lambchops - sooo overcooked and tough - could barely get my fork through it. Do yourself a favor, spend your time and your money somewhere else.

This is a secret place to be found!! My mother and I noticed this small tapas restaurant on a strip mall while on our way home. Despite the hidden location, once we entered we found ourselves in a different world. The decoration and the music reminded us of the cozy environment we were used to back home in Colombia. Soft flamenco music, with a contempo red ambiance... just perfect. A very friendly man who, to our surprise, was the executive chef and owner of the restaurant welcomed us. Good start! Once we looked at the menu, we decided to try the zucchini cream (only $3 and surprisingly yummy!), then we had a combination of cold and hot tapas: Solomillo en tostada (my favorite), Gambas al ajillo, pincho de pollo, and a delicious Tortilla Espanola (also my favorite). We also had the red sangria, which wasn’t too sweet but rather fruity… awesome! There are more options like the mango, passion fruit, and white sangria as well. We couldn't believe the wonderful taste of every single dish, no to mention the upscale service. Macarena Tapas is worth to try! A give it 5 stars and I'm becoming a regular for sure!
