This is a wonderful place. The Turkish style window seats look very cozy and inviting. For an appetizer we ordered the hummus. It was very delicious and flavorful. I was surprised to find out that there weren't any chickpeas in it. WOW! They truly had me fooled. My husband ordered the Moussaka and I had the Zoom Burger. The flavors and textures were just right. For dessert I actually got to try the infamous Durian fruit; definitely an acquired taste. The Longetivity Tea was very good and slightly sweet.

I had a great experience here! Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I've been a vegetarian for 10 years but I'd never had raw food before today - it was excellent! It makes me sad to see the negative reviews, but I am going to chalk it up to their warped expectations of a raw food establishment.
The food was awesome. It was very Mediterranean inspired, at least at the salad bar, which is what I tried. The second super nice lady that helped me gave me a take out tray that I filled with little samples of every dish (AND a free cup of soup to try!). Wow. When I got home and tried everything, I was thinking about trying their month long carry out program and I still am. I didn't get sick, and in fact, I feel pretty satisfied!
Concerning the service, again, I didn't dine in, but this place has a real European feel to it, and if you've been to Europe, your cooks and servers aren't going to jump when you snap your fingers. Think about it, they're taking the time to serve you the purest of food, so relax and enjoy yourself. I will gladly exercise my patience to be the recipient of a great meal.
I love this place! In a city that prides itself on pizza that feels like a ton of bricks and other various processed meats, it is about time!!!

If you are traveling to Chicago, don't miss going to this restaurant. It should be at the top of your vegan restaurant list of places to eat. It is one of the best vegan dining experiences that we have had anywhere. The food was delicious, the portions very good, the help courteous and friendly, and the restaurant decor very pleasant. It made the whole dining experience a very enjoyable evening.

A place to get real wholesome food at a nice price. The vegan options are good and the service is polite and friendly. I always feel relaxed in this place and not rushed to finish my food and get out. A must place for all vegans.

I have never been before to Raw food restaurant. But after visiting this place I really understand why do people become vegetarian. Food was really delicious and different. so I think it will be one of my favorite restaurants in Chicago.

This was a great experience! Take it from someone who loves sweets and meat...YET, i enjoyed every thing at the bar and felt completely satisfied. More importantly, the next day i felt rested and energetic. I am sold!

Wow! The people here are so sweet. The place has a real exotic and healthy feels to it. I tried the food bar and everything I had was amazing! I tried a little bit of everything and liked it all! The lady working there gave me a free soup to try too, which is what has convinced me that they serve enough variety in dishes to keep me coming back often.
I've been a vegetarian for 10 years and had never tried raw food until today. I think I'm going to sign up for their month-long box food program and detox.
I think that anyone willing to make this lifestyle change would feel the same way I do after visiting Cousins, but if you're a real pizza, meat and potatoes, and fast food person, I'm not sure how you're going to react to very pure food. Try it!

I like the idea of this place.. But what I tried was pretty bland. Zucchini noodles (cold) with pesto sauce came piled high and while it wasn't bad, it wasn't really good either.
My guy had some kind of grain salad and asked for hummus and tahini to give the dish some flavor. He downed some kind of carrot, apple ginger juice blend in one shot just to skip over the taste..
Staff was friendly (Russian? Romanian??) and the tea (clove? licorice? anise?) they served afterwards was a treat... I just kept telling myself the food was good for my body!

Wonderful place with super delicious and healthy food. All my friends (meat-eaters and veggies/vegans) love it the same. It is just the welcoming atmosphere, the nice decor, the helpful staff and the delicious dishes and yummy desserts. The salad bar has such a great selection that you just don't know where to start with. I just love it, what else can I say.... Come and see for yourself. Cousins IV is worth it!!!! NO doubt there!
