Great place, great food. Almost a perfect neighborhood spot. What keeps it from being perfect are the bartenders. They are kind of "industry" types. Nothing going on behind the eyes. In a place like that you should have a sharp bartender. They seem like young guys who don’t really pay attention. But outside of that it is fantastic.

Cozy, good service, great food. Casual, menu with burgers, salads and several daily specials, including FRESH Seafood and Pasta. The new Hot Wings are to die for. All the staff is friendly and not pushy and the bar stays open late for being a neighborhood friendly spot

I never made it to the Marge's, but stepping into Marge's Still does make you feel like you are stopping by a historic Chicago spot. It is perfectly suited to the beautiful Old Town homes and curvy streets surrounding it. The long-narrow room fits nicely around the bar and I enjoyed the tables set by the large front windows. We had dinner on a fairly quiet Saturday night and had excellent service. At our server’s recommendation I had a black & tan made with an IPA that might become a new favorite drink for me. I had the night special Chicken Marsala with mashed potatoes, which was perfect and very different from any chicken marsala I had ever had. It was sweeter with an almost a berry-like aftertaste, delicious. I learned from our waitress that the owner previously ran an Italian Restaurant and had brought all his mother’s recipes to Margie’s. I will certainly be back for the Italian specials and my mouth was watering at the sound of some of the gourmet burgers on the menu (The Michigan Ave topped with sautéed spinach, onions, & mushrooms will be what I try on the next visit).
