This is by far the best sandwich shop in the city. Great selection, fast service. Everything is fresh and they have a big selection of unique sandwiches. I love the Italian Grinder and Pepper Turkey sandwiches. Home-made chili, sides and soups, too. I love the atmosphere also. Yumm... Great independent restaurant.

I have eaten at Costellos many times. It has a nice location and ambiance, but for the food, forget it. They put about enought meat on a sandwich to feed a small mouse. And even when I asked for extra meat (at a cost) on their "Italian Beef", it was nowhere near what you would get at any other place in Chicago for a regular order.

Absolutely delicious subs and sandwiches. Makes chain stores like Subway or Quizno's taste like dumpster diving by comparison. Within a week of moving in, I had eaten there 14 times.
