This restaurant is a great find, what's there not to like? Great ambiance, the servers are always friendly, but most importantly, the food is delicious! My boyfriend and I try to get to CJs at least once a week, sometimes more, even if it's just for coffee and the phenomenal banana bread pudding. The person that posted that one negative review must have terrible taste or a personal vendetta against the restaurant.

This was my first visit to this restaurant, but it was my sister & parents second visit. I was very pleasantly surprised. This eatery has the look and feel of a Wicker Park or Division St. eatery, but is located on the West Side (West Humbolt Park), amidst tons of carryout/fastfood spots. The atmosphere was very comforting with Jazz playing softly in the background. The walls are adorned with paintings of local artists. The food was absolutely fantastic. We shared two appetizers: Crab cakes and the Calamari. For my entree, I chose the Chili Rubbed Sirloin with Southern Fried Corn. I also sampled from other plates on the table: Meatloaf Tower, Mojito Chicken, and Ribeye Sandwich. All of our selections were outstanding. For dessert we shared the Banana Bread Pudding with Peanut Butter Anglaise'. It was a great finish to a wonderful experience at CJ's. Kudos to CJ's Eatery for being a breath of fresh air & good food for the West Siders. We will go back!!

My wife and I live in the neighborhood and we went to Cj's for lunch and it was awesome. I recommend if you are looking for a great little place that is truely unpretentious, then CJ's is where you need to be.
