This is the best new bar/restaurant in Lakeview & Lincoln Park. The ambiance is great -- exposed brick, an old fashioned bar, comfy booths and lots of candlelight. Plus they play old silent movies on the flat screens, giving it a funky touch. The food is great, from the brick oven pizzas to the entrees. And they always have great drink specials (love the $5 martini night). Best of all, the staff made me feel like a regular from the first time I walked in the door. I am so glad this place opened in the neighborhood!

Been there are 5 times now in 2 months. Great pizza, great pasta, and really comfortable cozy environment. There is something about thin crispy wood fired pizzas that makes them the perfect comfort food. Great non traditional selection of pizzas and entrees, but nothing you should worry about when bring less adventurous friends along with you.
Still working on getting the bar going, much more of a restaurant then a watering hole. Claim they are working on it though through drink specials and promotions.

I went into Forno Diablo one Friday night. I was actually stranded (I don't actually live in Chicago)and they took me in and hung out with me (and gave me wine) until I could track down my friends. We ended up going back the next night to have dinner and everything we ordered was fantastic. I had the Brick Chicken and it was amazing, my friends were all similarly impressed with the pizzas, risotto and pasta! Please stop in and enjoy a great meal or a great conversation with the staff, it's truly one of my new favorite places! Be sure to tell Fingers, JoAnna and Steve that Nicole sent you! :o)
