We used to go here when it was on Irving. The hummus and falafel were amazing! The hummus appetizer was brimming with fresh veggies and I loved the float of olive oil on top!
The couple that owns the cafe is another story. They took their sweet time and made you feel like they were doing you a favor serving you. Despite that I continued to go in there because the food was so good and it was right down the street.
So they move to Rogers park and a month or so later I am craving that hummus platter and humongous falafel sandwich. We decide to get in the car and leave our coveted spot-if you are a Wrigleyville/Lakeview resident you fully understand the sacrifice we were willing to make for this food. So we get there and THEY NO LONGER SERVE FOOD! It took they 5 minutes to greet us with only 2 other people in the place. I know they recognized us. Didn't thank us for making the trip. It wasn't until I asked for the menu that she said we didn't transition into the food yet.
No food. They are going under! Their personalities and customer service skills suck!

Like going to the home of a friend who you wish could come out from the kitchen and chat more about his life in his homeland of Egypt or the culinary inspirations that lead him to carefully source the freshest and most environmentally-sound ingredients, but instead you let him remain at work back there making delicious dips to order, generous sandwiches on fresh bread, and stunning salads with locally-sourced greens.

This is my favorite restaurant! Everything is delicious and so fresh! The best falafel sandwich and hummos you have ever tasted. The place is very cozy, nice for hanging out or an intimate date spot. They have coffees, teas and ice cream if you just want to stop for dessert too!
